Your life is your fault
I heard this on a podcast today and it hit me: “Your life is your fault.”
We need to take personal responsibility for the situations we are in.
Of course, I know there are circumstances that are out of our control. But how we react to them is completely in our control.
How are we going to work when life throws lemons at us?
What is in our control?
Last week, I sprained my knee. Some of you may be aware of my pickleball obsession. Needless to say, I couldn’t play.
I was in a very low mood, unmotivated, and had “poor me” syndrome.
Then, I realized that even though there was a lot I couldn’t do, there was also a lot I COULD do.
And instead of wallowing in the “I can’t,” I flipped the switch to “what can I do?”
So I want to ask the same question to you. Is there a “poor me” area of your life? What CAN you do?
In loving your home, can you do the following:
Buy a pot of flowers for outside your home?
Light a candle?
Listen to a podcast while cleaning?
Declutter one drawer?
Do a 10 min tidy with the family? (With a family of 4, that’s a cumulative 40 minutes of cleaning!)
Pick up crumbs while walking up the stairs?
Run a brush through the toilet?
Catch your “poor me” thoughts and realize that “your life is your fault.” You have the power to change.
You have the power to love your home. And your life.
